Negotiating Conflict at your Nonprofit
When: Thursday, April 07, 2011 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
In the nonprofit world, sometimes you have to be the truthteller. And sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth. So how do you set boundaries? How can you manage expectations? How can you figure out which types you’re dealing with? How do you take power? We’ll go over rank in the workplace including boss and board profiles to help you skip through the conversational minefield with grace and alacrity. Oh, there will be amusing anecdotes. You may find yourself nodding your head a lot. And then there will be ways, concrete ways, to deal with each kind of person who comes at you verbally. This is self-defense at work at its best!
