Fundraising and Philanthropy people to follow on Twitter

Oh, you know Twitter, right? What’s so great about it?

How about money?

Notices when you should apply for grants?

Notices on when you get a chance to meet with foundation employees?

Well, recently I followed every single foundation on the Foundation Center’s website listing, and I put them in a list on my twitter feed.

My list is here.

You can find specific foundations that are relevant to your cause, or just follow them all.

You can follow me, too, if you want!

if you’re not following your favorite foundations on twitter already, ask yourself, why not?

I mean, really, what is a better way to get on their radar than to do an @ message and tell them you like them?

Do grantors ever tell you not to write or call?

YES!

How about, “Don’t follow us and thank us publicly on twitter”?

Nope.

So why not take advantage of this tool?

Okay, enough evangelizing the foundation social media thing.

Here are some of my favorite people to follow on twitter.

People who like to retweet.

They can teach you a lot, by their blog posts, by their events, by example and otherwise.
