I don’t usually go in for membership.
I find that whatever the cost is, it’s usually not followed up with enough concrete benefits.
However, there is ONE organization that I am a member of, which exceeds all my expectations, and I think it would help you to tell you about it.
This presentation can be the crucial difference between having 10 informed people, ready to take action and help you, and 9pm on a lonely Tuesday night staring at 50 boxes of envelopes to stuff and sort to get your mailing done.
What is the Long Tail?
It’s a book by Chris Anderson, who talks about the internet’s ability to keep a product going long after it should have stopped selling. The Long Tail means that there are no masses, but lots of people with very specific sets of niches and interests. Mr. Anderson looks at the business models of Zappos, Amazon, Ebay, Apple, Google, and other top American companies, and tries to decipher how they keep up with the changing pace of the business world and the internet markets.
