Thank you so much Beth Kanter!

Beth Kanter, co-author of The Networked Nonprofit featured my book on her 2010 list of nonprofit books last week!

Thank you so much Beth! And thank you to the people who commented and wanted a copy of the book!

If Beth doesn’t pick you for a free book, let me tell you, it’s totally worth $40. here’s why.

I wrote it as an overview, a primer, workbook and all in one fundraising office with an 80 page resource CD.

It will help you solve any and all fundraising problems that you might encounter when creating a brand new development program, as well as help you hone an existing program.

It’s everything I wish I had known when i started a nonprofit in 2005.

It’s over 180 pages of pure fundraising tactics that work, with worksheets to help you use this knowledge right away. It’s really like a textbook and workbook combined.

BONUS: It’s got a CD in the back with 80 pages of templates, FAQs, etc so it’s like a development office in a box, really. You can look at the examples in the book and then INSTANTLY apply it to your office. The word documents are easily editable to be applicable to your exact needs.

This is a textbook for fundraising, since it’s got everything I learned in the last seven years. People pay between $50-100 for most college textbooks these days. The cost of $40 is actually quite reasonable from that perspective.

Responses to the book:
It’s funny. Really. A veteran fundraiser in NYC read it while she was recovering from oral surgery and laughed her ass off.

It’s useful. A total newbie grantwriter in San Francisco told me it was well-written. This newbie grantwriter just got $80,000 for community gardens for low income families.

About Amazon: I am not making it available there because I only printed a very limited number of books. And they will charge you the same price, and I will only get $5.00. The books cost me quite a bit more than that to print, not to mention I spent 3 years working on it. So it doesn’t make fiscal sense for me to make it available on there.

If you do want to get the book and CD, it’s only available here until supplies run out. Which is soon.

I will be doing a lot of speaking engagements in 2011, at the Center for Nonprofit Organizations, at the Future is Now Conference, and other places, where the book will be sold.

So get it while it’s here, because it will soon be gone!
